don't roll your eyes at me

I hate the sneezing and runny nose and itchy eyes that come with seasonal allergies. I really do. I've purchased and used 635 boxes of kleenex so far- but who's counting?

But do you know what I really hate?
I hate that Every. Single. Time. I open the lid to the washer I find two billion pieces of the aforementioned tissues.

Surprise!

It's sad when you roll your eyes at yourself. I do. A lot.

Wait- have I ever told you about my washing machine? It's in the kitchen. Between the icebox and stove. One wall of my kitchen is like the appliance aisle at Best Buy. It is.

Kitchen- washer

Appliance isle

Yep, Best Buy. Told you so.
And the dryer. On the back porch.
If you had any doubt of my country girl/farm status after this post. I don't think you are doubting now.

And I just wrote an entire post about tissues and my washing machine.
And I just rolled my eyes. Again.

Happens to me all too often, too, although it's hubbys tissues. Sometimes I remember to check his pockets, sometimes not.
Off topic, but I love your kitchen sink, it is exactly like the one my grandmother had! Every few years she would repaint the lower part and apply new transfers; I remember how excited we'd get when it was time to pick out new transfers!

In my last home, a building built in 1916, the washer was on the back porch-col water only and the dryer in my bedroom. No closets or kitchen cupboards either. It was great!

Try Clarinex D or the store equivalent for the allergies, it works for mine.

My washer is in the kitchen too. And thank God the dryer isn't on the back porch. Seriously: your dryer's on the porch? Wow!

my daughters washer n dryer were on her back porch..she was renting an old 1930's florida bungalow and thats where they did the wash back then

Think of how efficient you are having your washer right there! And our first house had both the washer and the dryer on the porch! Which was actually a big step up from when they were in the cellar!

But we liked it and didn't roll our eyes at all. I love your kitchen, I didn't really notice the appliances except as a given, I was looking at all the nice touches (like those green bowls).

Oh, I just hate it when I find them shredded in the dryer. I think your kitchen is oh so cozy. But then you already knew that!
