Feeling just dandy

I sat in the park for lunch today. Me, sunshine, warm temperatures and a good book. I've waited months for that moment. And for a moment I even forgot it was Monday. I forgot that I was at work.

I'm lucky to have a park just outside my office. A park with benches and big trees and lots of green grass and flowers- the latter two not quite here yet. The dandelions are the only ones to make their Spring debut so far. And I welcome them.

The squirrels were out and about and a not afraid to beg. I stared one down for a good three minutes over my cheese nips. Some sort of bee landed on the pages of my book. I guess he had the same idea as me.

I love to sit there half engrossed in the story in front of me and a little distracted by the murmurs of conversations around me. There was a happy buzz all around. The work day was waking up from hibernation. We were all taking our first peeks at Spring- just like the dandelions.

Yes, spring does feel good, doesn't it? I only hope that since March came in like lamb it doesn't decide to live up to the "out like lion" part ;)

A Dandelion never looks more beautiful than in the Spring! I have my windows open today. After getting some work done, I played, Bella style...rearranging Goodwill/yardsale finds. It's almost as much fun as finding them in the first place!

You make the lowly dandelion look beautiful. What a joy to have a park so close and such good weather today.

Amazingly, we here in Michigan have been experiencing spring-like weather...and it's WONDERFUL! Of course, we KNOW that spring is just teasing us, there can be snow up until mid-April, so...we're enjoying the higher than normal temps and sunshine while we can get it! Your dandelion is so cheerful, and how nice that you can have a lunch outdoors! WOW!

This post just made me think of spring! I love to sit in a park and read and sort of listen to my surroundings too. Can't wait until it's warm enough for me to do that regularly.

I'm thrilled to find your blog and I'm looking forward to more posts from you.
