Magic...

The sun is just magic. Suddenly something that I have looked at- or not looked at- hundreds of times becomes beautiful in the spotlight of the evening sun. The real beauty seems to lurk in the shadows, the patterns and texture. Wait, is this what photography is all about?

Look at the two distinct greens on the leaves of the trees against the old barn. Gosh, there seems to be more than two. Have you ever noticed that the Queen Anne's Lace is beautiful from all directions?

I hope this weekend is wonderful for you. I hope you catch a moment where you see something, really see something, for the first time. I hope you catch some magic in the sun.

Hope to catch a bit of photographic magic at a festival. Just hope I don't get TOO MUCH sun on my face and shoulders. Will wear a big hat!

When you start walking around with a camera much of the time, you find such beauty. At least if you're like me, anyway. All the little nuances of life. Last night I was outside with the dogs, and it was still faintly light. I could see a spider weaving a web up and down. I thought, if it were light enough I'd get my camera. Probably never would have noticed those things before! Magic right in front of me!
