The front porch...

The weekend is here and that means we are heading back outside. Come on, I promise the weather is nice. Actually that's a complete lie, but it is shady out there.

I've been working on the front porch lately. I painted that bench last weekend. And yes, shame on me for not taking a before picture. Sorry. I went with the tan (I think it's called fossil) until I have the confidence to choose something a little more exciting.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend, a porch sitting sort of weekend.

Looks like a happy place! Almost bought a bench like that this week for my kitchen. Thought it would work great for the grandkids, then passed it up for another piece.

What an inspiration - we're getting ready for a new porch floor on Monday and all must be moved so seeing your sweet little porch gives me ideas of what I could do.

Have a fabulous weekend.

That looks so cozy, do you sit out there very often? It's way too hot to be out much here.
Have a lovely weekend.

Very comfy and cozy front porch. When I go for my walks in the neighborhood I love to see when someone takes the time to make their front porches so welcoming. Yours definitely has that look!

Well, Kim, it's starting to rain here. So it depends altogether on the weather on whether I'll be porch sitting. I just love your porch. Why couldn't I have found a place of solitude in the country???

Always love seeing the porch and I love the fossil color. It will blend nicely with any color scheme and can be easily changed should you want to go bolder!!

I hope you guys have a great weekend. Rest and enjoy.

I have loved looking at your blog. Thank you for sharing your place with us. I live in Alexandria, and don't get my 'country fix' too much. So, I'll just pop in here from time to time.

SSG wouldn't even mind sitting in that icky thing known as humidity on that cute front porch of yours.

Can you see lightening bugs from there?

Hope you have a great weekend!

How charming!!! I just LOVE your home and all of the sweet touches that you have all over the place. Your kitchen is just too cute for words and reminds me of days gone by.

Any hot apple pie baking in the oven today?
