Vintage Thingies Thursday...

I have been pretty blessed by the yardsale Gods lately. I think it is some sort of knack. BellaMomma will tell you I got it from her and certainly that is true. There is a pure joy that I get from the hunt, the stretching of a dollar and the nostalgia. I think I am an old soul. I feel connected somehow to these vintage treasures.

Most of you know that church sales are often the best places to find special vintage items- and often as astounding prices. Astounding in a good way, that is. I always think about the adorable little church ladies going through their homes and making donations. I am always proud to lug it all home and honor it.

Here is what I picked up this past weekend at a church sale and at our local Clothes Cottage.

An old beaded handbag- .10

A yummy vintage apron- .25

Old tea towels or napkins- 9 of them- $1.00

I am taking part today in Vintage Thingies Thursday over at a new blog for me- Coloradolady. Click here to visit her wonderful blog and see tons of other vintage treasures. If you have found me today via this fabulous list, please scroll down- you will find lots of other vintage finds.

Well, I can see that after your first two really thrifty buys, you went right out and spent the BIG BUCKS (oh, I guess that would be the big buck) on the tea towels!!!
Hehehehehehehehe

Lovely items all, though I find I am most partial to the beaded purse.

Beautiful finds as always. I LOVE church sales, they really are the best way to find really good stuff super cheap. I will be scouring the paper and craigslist this afternoon to see if there are any going on in our town this weekend.

Good finds. I would have hated those vintage flower patterns when I was younger, but now I think they are cool.

OHMY! That purse is fabulous. I have and use several vintage handbags, but none that are beaded. And I am goofy over that tea towel. The colors are so vibrant.
Glad you joined us at VTT.
