Daydreaming...

It's perfect outside. Warm and summery with no humidity. And that pesky humidity will be here to stay pretty soon. Way too soon. Unfortunately I am stuck here at work and not out playing in the yard. But I can daydream...
Our neighbors just cut the pasture in the field across the road.

Part of our backyard.
And the clover.

And rusty pieces of times gone by.

And a view of the porch and the little farmhouse, through the nandina buds.

We can pretend we are there, right? It seems that my Monday is a daydreaming sort of day. What are you daydreaming about today?

I am daydreaming about the pool. Spending relaxed time with my girls. I am at work, they are swimming, I dream of spending more time with them.

Well, I am daydreaming about days when I just jumped up and went out to the garden without crutches. Seems like just yesterday. Well, it was just a few days ago. Just got an email from my ex-husband, whose brother just died. Blast from the past of 12 or more years ago. Guess he reads my blog or found me somehow. I was already an emotional menopausal wreck before that arrived in my email so unexpectedly about an hour ago. Now I'm in a tailspin. You just wait... (I'm always telling my daughters that, sort of taunting them.)

Daydreaming of sunny, warm days! It has been gloomy and rainy most of the day!

I had several days of posts to catch up on, and I must say I feel very serene and mellow after looking at all of your lovely pictures. How beautiful. And what am I daydreaming about? My vegetables and flowers getting too dry. Guess I'd better go water.

Ohmahgah you said the H word! That is the sole reason why SSG doesn't travel east of the Rockies during the summer.

Hi Kim,
Thank you for your kind word about my Scout!! I appreciate your kindness.
I'm thinking about a warm, sandy beach with LOTS of sea shells waiting for me to pick them up and seeing a whale or dolphin swim by.

I have a friend who used to tell his little sister that those big hay rolls were midget houses!! She believed him for several years;)

I've been daydreaming about having a whole day alone at home. I would sit by the pool and read until I fell asleep. Then, I would wake up, and leisurely cook a HUGE meal for my family. WHAT? I can dream, can't I?!!

Better get back to work...
