I can smell a bargain...

Well, I could smell this one every single time I opened my trunk on Saturday. When BellaMomma and I pulled up to the yardsale on Saturday morning I quickly spied this old quilt laying on the ground. They wanted $2 for it. Sold. But it didn't smell so good- sort of musty, sort of doggyish. But nothing I didn't think a little Tide and Febreze couldn't handle.

So, it soaked and soaked and hung on the line all day Sunday. I am so glad I didn't leave it behind.

I can definitely smell a bargain...it smells like a summer breeze and sunshine.

It's gorgeous! You are one lucky thrift shopper! I've been spying quilts for awhile now, hoping to put one over Grandma's couch. But the price has always been too $$. Yay for great finds and the fresh scent of laundry detergent!!!

Jealous...I guess that is what I deserve though.

You're a quilt hooker..you know that right. I'm telling on you.

Two dollars! You could use it on a sofa or "slip cover" a piece of furniture that's seen better days by tucking it around the edges. Throw it over a table. Oh, I could go on and on! Two dollars!

It is so hard to find quilts around here. Must be my demographics...it doesn't get to cold here :p

That is a cool quilt and great price to boot! i have a bunch of old quilts as well. My favorite one is the one that the little old church ladies made for my mom when she was a baby (it is a smaller size). Glad the nasty smell vanished...nothing a good cleaning and a summer breeze can't take care of!
