Airing my dirty laundry...

Well, I am afraid I don't have any juicy gossip or dirt to dish. That post title wasn't fair, was it? I just wanted to show you this gem I found a while back that holds my clothes pins.

Do you have a clothesline? I wish I used mine more. I need to. There is nothing like fresh laundry off the line.

In an attempt to be more energy efficient, we have been using the clothesline whenever the weather permits. Now get this: my husband does his own laundry! So we have to schedule it. I often forget to bring the clothes in off the line, and they get damp again overnight. I just say they smell doubly nice since they got extra drying time.

you are so right. fresh laundry on the line is wonderful. i don't have a clothes line here but i do at the cabin. my mom had one growing up and always hung things out to dry. maybe that's because for many years she only had an old wringer washer and no dryer. can you imagine?

I wish I had one, too. When we buy a house, a clothesline and garden are at the top of my list of must-haves.

Unfortunately, we can't hang clothes outside...homeowner association rules : (
I do hang them on the drying rack inside though. I use the drying rack for over half our laundry. Love your clothespin holder!

Have an amazing weekend! Hugs!

Sadly I don't have a clotheline now, but I hang things in my garage! My mama and all the ladies had clothespin holders like that when we were little. I have a little apron that hold clothespins that my mama made for me when I first got married in 1977!

No clotheslines here... but how I loved the smell of fresh bed sheets off the line when I was a kid. Just wanted to stick you nose into them and breathe in deeply... soooo yummy smelling.

I do not have a clothesline, but Grandma always did. Whenever her clothespin holder would wear out, she'd head to the sewing machine and stitch up a new one!!!

Good times! Thanks for the memories:)

Love Your Clothespin bag too.! I just posted a picture of mine today and was wondering if anyone had a clothesline and what kind? Love your blog.

Can't wait to see what you do with your little store. That is my dream to own my own little country store.

Something tells me that if I did have one, one of the critters would run off with the clothes. Namely, the dog critters! I'd have to string one across my pond, I suppose. But then you know I'd fall in it fetching clothes. So reminds me of my childhood. There's just nothing like clothes fresh off the line.

Oh how I wish I had a clothes line.
I remember them as a kid and my favorite ones were the roundish shaped metal ones that stood out in the yard. You could really get a lot of stuff on those.

Nothing beats the fresh smell of laundry dried outside.

Happy day,
Becky

i love clothes line, only recently I was alerted that these are sometimes not seen as 'mainstream'

I love love love the fragrance of freshly laundered cotton from the outside but that's just me...

My sister and I were just talking about this. We don't hang our clothes on the line because when they dry they're stiff. Doesn't anyone else have this problem?

Hi Kim
Clotheslines are a thing of the past for most of us. Does anyone even have clotheslines anymore? I always loved the fresh air smell of clothes hung outside to dry.
Quite awhile ago you asked me about the color paint I had in or bathroom and I kept on forgetting to check on it. It is a Laura Ashley color "apple 3". I got it at Lowes. Sorry I took so long to respond back :(
