Rudolph- The Red-Faced Reindeer

I have used my share of nose puns lately so I will spare you as I write about Rudolph- my most favorite of all Christmas characters.

My beloved special was on CBS last night. I happened to see this when flipping through the listings last evening. I don't have to watch it broadcast anymore as I own this one and several special others on DVD now. Any night can be Rudolph night or Christmas Story or Frosty or The Peanuts. I love that.

Something about the tv listings made me feel a little yucky last night. It seems that Rudolph was followed later in the evening by the Victoria's Secret special. What??? It just feels wrong and believe me I am the last person to promote any sort of censorship or prudishness. But, is nothing sacred anymore? Can we just have our red-nosed friend without the bras?

If poor little Rudolph knew I think his little nose would be red with embarrassment.

I didn't even know the VS special was after Rudolph. As soon as Rudolph was over, we shut off the tv. I love watching the Rudolph, Frosty, Peanuts with my kids...it brings back memories of me watching them with my mother...

Ugh. I get so sick of those VS specials. Whenever I see them I think of the heart attack I'd have if I had a little boy watching it. Ugh.

I watched Rudolph last night!!! If he knew that those skinny skanks were on after him, I think he would have been a perfect gentleman and offered each one of them a biscuit...

I too have Rudolf on DVD as well as a host of other DVD Holiday favs!!! I agree with you on the VS special. Give me a break...television executives totally underestimate the intelect of the American public.

I love looking at your decorations...really, I do.

I also agree with you. I very much dislike that show. It's called Victoria Secret and those girls have no secrets. They reveal it everything about themselves and it doesn't get watched here at all. Anyway it's one of those things that really annoy me.....Have a great day!

I LOVE those old Christmas cartoon specials. Seriously, they are the best! They bring back so many memories from when I was a little one with all my siblings watching those specials.

Must have been on one of the 3 original networks which we don't watch anymore.... too many commercials. BUT, I am glad that I live in the USA where there is not total censorship and that we all have a choice to watch what we want. My solution is 'click' turn the TV off if it offends me.

Yuck...I'm so tired of seeing those models prancing around in next to nothing with gorgeous boobs and bodies. I watched Rudy...and then turned it off. Love me some Rudolph...he's so adorable.

Hahahaa! I agree, it doesn't seem right to have a bra show following our beloved Christmas shows!

Okay, Victoria's Secret, TV, Rudolf? Not a good mix. Rudolf isn't even at a training bra size!

Ah, what ever happened. Somethings just go too far. Last night we played Christmas music and had a fire on the TV. No shows for us! It was wonderful.

Ha! I have the Charlie Brown Christmas (and Halloween & Thanksgiving!) too, LOVE it. I need to grab the Valentine's Day one too. My favorite holiday right after Christmas. Thanks for the well wishes! And Quiet Guy told me he had the pie and LIKED it ... will wonders never cease?
