All work and no play

So goes life, right?

I've been up to my eyeballs with work for the last month or so. While a little time was left for things like blogging, I always seemed zapped of the creativity and the motivation.

Well, now it's time to play.

Today I have the house to myself and if you know me at all you know how much I love these hours of alone time with no plans at all.

I have furniture that needs rearranging and a stack of magazines to read. I might take a walk with the camera. I don't know. I love not knowing.

How are you? Have you been working or playing?

My son is off school today, so we got to sleep in...and I am in my pajamas doing little chores around the house. Then I have to pay bills and get ready to go to the grocery store. I have missed seeing you on your blog and am glad you're back. I know how it is with those busy weeks, and would love to know what magazines you find worthy to subscribe to?

Have a LOVELY weekend and enjoy your "puttering" around the house.
XOXO

I am working around the house cleaning out a room that NEEDED cleaning! It is my catch-all room and needed some attention!

Hope you enjoy your day doing whatever you want to do!

I missed you, as well. I have been working finally! I am still just so happy to be among the employed now.

Working around here for me is a lot like playing for most folks. The weather is glorious, and I have been soaking up the sunshine, laying out and prepping the new gardens back by the barn. A friend is coming tomorrow to help me, and we hope to get all 45 English roses planted. Wish us luck.

Isn't it wonderful to have some time to yourself? You need it every now and then just to recharge.

I too have gone back to work and this is my first Saturday alone in a long time. I'm loving every moment of it!

Busy with work during the week, and home improvement projects on the weekend. We put down a new floor in the kitchen, one of those floors made out of crinkled kraft paper and lots of polyurethane. It turned out GREAT which astonished us. It was much more labor intensive than we had expected, but, still, we are thrilled.

I love not knowing too! What a great way to spend a day. I've been so busy with work and school that I can only daydream for now. One more week and then a break...oh the not knowing that I will be doing then!!!

Hugs,
Dena
