Sometimes I think these things are just waiting for me. When they arrive on the little farm they have made their journey home. They are excited to jump into the car. I feel like Santa on the Island of Misfit Toys. I swoop in and they jump into my bag. I love them again.
Sort of silly, I know.
I'm always so proud that I love this stuff. Is proud the right word?
Lucky?
Blessed?
All of the above.
I really do love them again.
And I know I'm better for it.

For some reason this reminds me of the Velveteen Rabbit. You're making them real again. Beautiful finds.
Great finds!!!! You've got such a great eye for these things!
Oh, great goodies!!! I especially love the platter and the quilt top!
Not silly. Admirable, and just the way I feel when I find a new thrifted treasure. I fall in love.

On the contrary...why anyone would buy new made in China is beyond me...I totally get bringing these treasures home...
I think I need to vacation near you and shop your thrift stores! You find the best stuff!
Hugs!

They jumped in your car just like my car turns into GW without being told to, hmmmm.
The patchwork quilt drew me in right away and I can just feel its comfort on a damp evening outside.
Those folk just did not properly appreciate those finds and you will!~olive~
I have that exact same flowered tray (the first picture) in my dining room! I had to jump from the computer and run to the dining room to make sure and yes it's the same one....you have great taste :-)

Hi--just stopping in for a visit...I have been out of the loop and I am sure missing everyone. :)
I love your finds....I know it's wrong...but I am always just a bit jealous of your great treasures you find. :) Hope you can stop by soon for a visit. :)
The people who used to own them are long gone and it does seem they've been waiting for you.
I love finding and bringing home things like that, too...can't resist vintage pretty floral sheets.
p.s. love your "what you wore pics" - you have a great sense of style and I especially love the bargains!
