It's a little gray here today. A little cold. A little Winter precipitation on its way. And my cheeks are rosy. But not from the cold. I think it's coming from a little thrifting smile. Why?
That's why.
Another metal tray.
I love them so, so much.
And I love this one because it's not perfect. It's worn and scratched and when I brought it home this weekend it had icky rings where glasses had once sat. I like that sort of thing. It's fun to know that someone used and maybe loved it and it's really wonderful to me to run the water and fill the sink with suds and see a piece like this smile again.

Pretty!!!
What an enchanting tray...
I'm with you on the character of the piece, someone else loved it before...awesome...
It doesn't have to be perfect...
to be beautiful.
I'll be so happy to see garage sale signs again.

Oh that is a wonderful tray! I love the flowers on it. Glad you saved it and gave it a new home.
oh what a lovely chippy old tray...perfect! just the sort of thing I love!
Well it does have a lot of character, this pretty tray.
I thrifted just for a quick minute today, too and I found an old cafeteria plate, white ironstone...your find is much more adorable and in your sweet home, it will be welcomed by its cousins!
We're having unusually warm weather and a ton of sunshine this week, I'm so looking forward to spring, and this tray looks like spring!

Great find. Love those old trays and the stories they could tell. Been busy and just catching up, read your post on your potting vessels too. I am longing for spring to and to get playing in the dirt. I'm loving those vessels you have.
Found your blog today thru Country Girl's blog. Oh my...I'm gonna like it here! I started from the beginning & I'm 2 months in...we have a lot in common. I love cats, farmhouses, thrifting, the rain & last year I bought that very same vintage Christmas table cloth on ebay! Kindred spirits we are...
p.s. oh, forgot...I will ride any roller-coaster on the planet! ;)
OH MY, gorgeous! I can see why this made your cheeks rosy! Have a blessed day!
so pretty. what are ya going to do with it? i have seen them made into magnet boards. i love that idea.
Love it! I know exactly what you mean about that "vintage, used" look! I also like to daydream about where an item came from, who might have used it...I just love the hostory of things!
You're such a thrifty, fun girl. I love your style!
