The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...

Lion- 7 cats. Does that count?
Witch- Me, hormones.That counts.

Wardrobe-

I was going through old pictures today and I am pretty sure I never shared my beautiful wardrobe with you guys. If I did, well, blame it on the hormones.

Those of you that live in older homes know that closets are few and far between and often extremely small. I needed the extra space and my dear cousin offered this as a house warming present. It took a while to find the perfect one.

This one is perfect.

And it does remind me of one of my favorite books.

You had promised to show it, but I don't believe you ever did. IT.IS.STUNNING. So beautiful and definitely worth the wait.

Thinking about you and sending you hormone normalizing hugs.

We always had wardrobes when I was little back home in England, then my Mom upgraded and got some 'fitted closets'! They bring back memories when I see them.

I have one of these and I love it. They really are wonderful to have and yours is lovely. Mine also has the drawer. I must show it sometime..just never thought of doing it. I like the nice deep color of yours! I keep blankets, afghans and quilts, pillows I am not using etc. in mine. Even the drawer is full of curtains I may use again one day! :)
wow..the more I look at yours the more I realize they are very similar. Even the trim. Mine also has a mirror. I will send you a photo if you have an email address.
I LOVE blogging..you get to see things like this wardrobe and other lovely things! Thanks for sharing it.
Hugs,
Mona :)

BellaDella, I couldn't find your e-mail address so I'll leave the message here.

On my blog I am looking for a project to blog about (see my current posting).

What you can't see is that my blog is connected to my facebook and I get tons of comments through the f/b that you can't see on the blog. With that said, my readers as well as my facebook readers seem to be leaning towards me taking road trips and blogging about them. (I used to do this and call them "Dixie Road Trips" because I drove a vintage suburban named "Dixie", but, lo, Dixie has a new home, now. Anyway, my readers loved my road trips).

I would love for one of my road trips to be to Bella Della Cottage.

Please e-mail me and let me know if you'd be game. I know you have to be careful in this day and age, and I wouldn't be offended if Mr. Bella Della followed us around.

Thanks for you consideration.

oh my 7 cats!
I have three and they drive me crazy sometimes...they enjoy getting into our christmas trees and destroying things.
do you have a problem with yours getting into your tree?

I have four cats, no closets and I'm rather hormonal too! LOL...

It's a lovely piece, and I KNOW how much you love it, cause my house is from 1869 and there is ONE 3x3 closet in the whole dang place.

How pretty! My old house has closets but not very big ones. I need a couple of these....lol.
I love the way you captured the room in the mirror....awesome!

Oh, how beautiful! I would rather have an old antique wardrobe any day over a built-in closet. I told myself if I ever move, I will have no built-ins whatsoever. I like the old farmhouse look where things are either out in the open on shelves or tucked away in antiques like this. (And you certainly already have the wonderful old farmhouse!)

I have no kitties but would love to have one. I grew up with them and plan to one day be a cat owner again. Love the wardrobe--just beautiful!

I love wardrobes and you have a beautiful one. They ALWAYS make me think of Lewis' story, which I dearly love. I have fond memories of playing in my cousin's wardrobe too.

Your new paint and Christmas decorations look beautiful. I remember your wonderful collection of nutcrackers from last year. I agree--you will need a larger display soon.

Traveling to NC and to Georgia recently, we passed so many homesteads on country roads that would remind me of your home. "That could almost be Della's home." I would love to live in a setting like yours. I was snapping pics of Thanksgiving cows at my son's house while visiting ;-)

Hugs,
Lallee

One of my favorite books, too. That is a beauty of a wardrobe. We desperately need one. Our bedroom doesn't have a closet. Patrick found some plastic stands (like the metal ones for clothes in stores) and we've been using them but his broke in half. lol It's on the list. Thanks for the inspiration.

Not sure where to post this but I wanted to ask if anyone has heard of National Clicks?

Can someone help me find it?

Overheard some co-workers talking about it all week but didn't have time to ask so I thought I would post it here to see if someone could help me out.

Seems to be getting alot of buzz right now.

Thanks
