Friday favorites...

I love Fridays. Love them. It's a special day, a treat yourself sort of day.

It's the day I like to wear something new to work, with my jeans of course. It's the day that I ignore the fact that we don't actually have a casual Friday policy. Oh well.

It's the day I treat myself to coffee or lunch from our local grocer, Ukrops. Amen for setting the salad bar at 7am!

It's a day filled with possibilities for the weekend. It's the eve of sleeping in and afternoon naps and whatever adventures await on Saturday and Sunday. This time we even have Monday thrown in too.

It's the day I love coming home, doing nothing and not feeling at all guilty for it. What kind of day is Friday for you? Do you have any fun Friday favorites, treats or rituals?

Mondays is my special day, cause I'm ALWAYS off on Mondays, and then the rest of the week varies. This Friday finds me home with pink eye in both eyes, recovering from a bad bout of the flu. I'm being good to myself today, and planning on making my favorite Aunt's peach cake, lazily cleaning up all the 'nests' in the house that I've made full of Kleenex and cough syrup. If I've enough energy left, I hope to make a nice supper and welcome September in properly.

I have Sunday night rituals (due to formerly despising them) but I think I DEFINITELY need Friday rituals now!

I am ready to move in! I absolutely LOVE your home and yard!
You must have a huge smile on your face every morning you wake up and realize where you live. Off to take my imaginary walk in your yard. Thanks. Dogwood

I LOVE Fridays too, and you just summed up everything I love about it (except I don't have to go to work in my jeans... I don't have to go to work at all) ;) But I am still up at 6am every day, so I love my Saturday mornings too.
Have a fabulous weekend.

I'm a lucky gal and every day seem to be Friday. Dogs asleep in my lap. One underneath my legs snoozing away. Every day.

Hey Mrs. Kim...thank you so much for your precious response. I appreciate your offer for help...I am SURE that I will need it..lol!!!
I,too, love country life. I have lived on a farm all of my 28 years, and hope that I never have to leave!! My Dad and I have made several tobacco stick stars, from the tobacco sticks that my Poppa and many of my older generation neighbors have used. There's just something about an item that's been around and loved, it just has character and what tremendous stories. If you would like, I would love to send you a star that we made, and I would also be happy to tell you how we made them...just let me know!! Have a super long weekend!!
Primitive Blessings,
Beth

Fridays are the days that I do the happy dance and high five myself for making it through another week ;) Then I pludge head first in to playing...then I do my homework, spiffy the house...and go back to playing! I always have SO many ideas and things I want to do (like make a pantry out of space I don't have) LOL! Aren't Fridays grand?

Hugs,
Dena

I like Fridays even tho I don't go to work, and Saturday mornings, they just feel different. Today was the last day my two grandchildren will stay with me, they go back to school on Tuesday. We went to Applebee's for lunch and when they left I felt sad so I just putzed with my flowers, because I know they will be off soon as well. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend.

No Friday rituals but Fridays are great.....I just love the anticipation of what we will do on the weekend and looking forward to sleeping in on Saturday. We were going to go out of town on a "day trip to Florida" but opted to just be "touristy" in our own hometown. We actually went to Paula Deen's store tonight. WHO KNEW? I never knew she had a store beside The Lady and Sons. Amazing what you find when you take a little time to check out your own backyard! Enjoy your weekend!

Thought I would be traveling to WV on Monday, but now have a three day weekend to enjoy, so breathing easier and enjoying the time of no commitments. Enjoy your weekend!

Well you know me...Fridays were made for Estate sales! If I have a good day estate saling, it truly sets the tone for the weekend....then reality hits again on Monday - designated grocery shopping day!

I love LOVE Fridays. The same long workday doesn't seem to bother me as they would a Monday. Fridays we allow ourselves the "treat" of doing whatever we feel like after work. (My day ends at 7pm) We don't have to rush through walking the dog, making lunches, and visiting with each other for only a mere couple of hours!

I hope you guys have a great Holiday Weekend.

PIZZA FRIDAY! It's my day to sit back and relax. My mister stops and grabs a pizza on the way home and we enjoy it when he gets home. It's usually popsicles or ice cream for dessert :0)
I'm so loving that tree in the corner of your yard...sigh*
Hoping that you are enjoying the holiday weekend.
