It will be here soon...
Last night while out walking I noticed a few golden and red leaves strewn here and there in the back pasture. This morning I almost needed a sweater when I was out walking the dogs. And then I noticed my steps full of pumpkins. I picked them last night. It's coming. The bug songs are changing. The hours of sunlight are shifting. It will be here soon.

yes i am. it's funny, the minute august gets here, i start yearning for fall. i really don't want summer to end, i hate it when the kids go back to school. but i love fall, my favorite season!!!
I will miss how pretty Virginia is during the fall. We do not get the pretty leaves like you do. My favorite weekend is the first weekend in November. That is usually when all the leaves in Northern VA fall off the trees. sniff. I will miss snow too.
We never really had a summer up here in my section of the Blue Ridge....most days were in the 70's and yesterday on the mountain the high was 69*.....the hard woods in some areas are staring to turn color!! Haven't seen any pumpkin or scarecrows out there yet....but, i know their just hidding!!

I am SO ready for fall! It's my favorite season, by far. It always promises a much needed cool down for Texas - which I love!

This has been such a cool summer in Roanoke that I'm just enjoying it for what it is as long as it lasts. But fall is always welcomed!
Good morning Bella Della, oh I could almost cry as I read your post, my heart is singing "YES, I'm ready for it", I am so ready for Fall.And the way you describe it, I want it all the more. It's the heat, I don't want the heat any more, I want to feel cool morning breezes with just that hint of chill in the air, see leaves falling to the ground. To see the sun but not feel the heat - that's what I want.
It was over 100 again here today :(
I'm on the fence. A big part of me can't wait til fall is here, which is my favorite season....but another part of me doesn't feel like I've had enough of summer yet. I've not eaten enough melons or corn, not had my fill of blueberries, not had my fill of fireflies. It's all so bittersweet.
I too noticed the subtle changes in the field, and the different bug sounds. I love living in the country where those subtle changes are noticeable.
I won't miss weeding though. I won't miss it one bit.
Bring it...I am so ready.
I am on the fence on this one. I'm not ready for the kids to go back to school or for the garden to stop producing. Plus when fall comes, the dreaded "w" word is quick to follow. However, I'm sick of wasps, sweat, and air conditioning 24/7. So I'll take it as it comes this year ;)

Yup! I am ready for it but will miss my beautiful gardens, as I do every year. Each season brings me such joyful delight in different ways ... He created such beautiful seasons to enjoy. TTFN~Marydon

Hands down I am a Fall girl. Humidity = Flat hair, bug bites, snakes in the yard, oh... and perspiration... ICK. Bring on October!

I am sooo ready for Autumn to arrive. We don't experience "true" seasons, but in the Autumn are temps fall into the low 80s and high 70s and any day that I don't have to run my central A/C is a fab day to me.
Summer in So Cal can be brutal.
Come on Autumn...Come on! Come on! Come on!
The pumpkins are turning orange here too! It won't be long before we pick them and on yes the leaves have been changing for a few weeks...just a few here and there. BUT they say upper 80's and 90's for the first time since June, next week!

LOVE the fall....what little we get in South Ga.! I'm ready!
Love fall, but not quite ready to give up my fresh cut flowers from the yard. I am ready for the kids to go back to school tho and to have the house to myself again.
Being a November baby - I love the Fall. I wait to take my vacations until Fall so I am soooo ready!!!! Living in the California foothills - Fall is beautiful here.

I'm not COMPLETELY ready for fall yet thankfully we've still got a bit of summer left. But I will love it when it gets here--my favorite season!
I'm a summer lover! With fall comes snow, cold and more snow. However, I do enjoy the four seasons that we have in Utah.
