Just my cup of tea...

Well, more like my cup of iced tea or RC Cola.

Sometimes you find things at yardsales that seem to be meant for you. I bet a bunch of folks passed these pretties by. I practically dove on them.

My grandma kept these in the pie safe and we drank out of them all the time as kids. These aren't those of course, but I like to think that some other sweet old lady held onto these for years and years. I bet they were stacked in the back of her pantry and never used.

These plastic treasures used to come inside of oatmeal. Gosh, why don't they do that sort of thing anymore?

I get the same way when I see those old little jelly jars that double as glasses with the cartoons on them.

I remember those, too! My grandparents collected them. Most of ours were yellow. It was exciting to get another color. :)

Thanks for your very sweet words about me and my new blog layout. You are wonderful!

My favs from my grandma were those aluminum tumblers. Mawmaw always let me drink out of the magenta one; today that magenta tumbler sits proudly on my kitchen windowsill so that a part of Mawmaw is there with me!

In these tougher economic times, you'd think they'd bring back some of the nostalgic trends of old. Like adding a treat in bought goods. You're probably too young to remember green stamps. Hell, I'm almost too young to remember green stamps! Love your sweet little glasses!

I remember seeing those..but I don't remember who in the family saved them. Grandma? Probably my Mom. YOU got LUCKY!
I have also been doing garage sales and have had great luck. We look forward to it each week!

My grandmother made us use those colored tin glasses.. they always made my teeth zing sort of like when you scratch your fingernails on a chalkboard. Oooh I hated that.
