Isn't it fun? I love the magazine rack. Right now it's serving as a sort of coffee table out on the carporch- which I will show you more of this week. Eventually it will get a new coat of paint. It's funny, the can of paint will cost more than the table! What color do you think it should be?

I'm thinking....red? ;) I love the transformations you make. I am sure no matter which color you pick it will be gorgeous! I've missed you! I read on your blog that the blahs have passed. That is great. They can be mean and long.
Hope you have a great week!
Marcia
great deal. my parents had a table like that when i was young. i can still see the magazines in them.
Oooh that is fun! I think a crisp white would be cute out there! But I do love the red you use! We're on the same page today--I just put up a picture of my table too : )
Have a great day!
Green...because you make us all green with envy of your finds! ;-)
Have a wonderful summer day!!!
HUGS!!

Great deal! I don't know if it would be big enough, or if you drink, but I think you could fashion it into an adorable little drink bar. The inside space could be used for storing glasses, the top for serving, and the magazine section for keeping a few of your favorite wines. Just a thought. :)
I think BLACK would be awesome! I'm so jealous of all your great finds! Send some of that "Yard Sale Mo-Jo" my way in NC!
Have a great day!
I gues it really depends on where you are going to put the finished table
I for one paint everything black BUT as of late I have been also painting some things read too
At any rate whatever you decide I am looking forward to the finished piece!
Love it! Sand it down first...and I am thinking a cornflower or french country blue....not black...do not do black...white is too typical...go with the blue. You always find the best stuff.
My heart skipped a beat upon seeing this table. It took me back to my early marriage days when everyone was decorating in 'Early American.' The great thing was that in those days the furniture was made with real maple. I'm sure many of us foolishly got rid of ours through the years for something more in style. Dumb.
I read on another blog that a woman took her piece of furniture to an auto painting shop to have it painted. Her piece looked great. I suspect that wouldn't be all that expensive. Now, how do you feel about a metalic blue table? Her desk was black, non glossy.
I have an award for you over at my log!!
What every color you pick, make it high gloss and shiny! xo, suzy
Isn't it a small world! I just found your blog today and had to laugh. I bought Rustoleoum colonial red spray paint last week along with a wood desk that I plan to paint with the red and use as a buffet in my dining room. I was second guessing my decision, and when I saw your red "wonders" I knew I made the right decision!! Now, I can forge ahead confident that it will look great! A question, if you don't mind, do you primer?
Thanks,
Rhonda

The first color that popped into my head was RED????????
It's a great piece of furniture. You are such a lucky duck! Seriously.

Great dollar deal! I am a fan of that pop of color - I vote for a turquoise blue/beachy blue.
Hi Kimberly
What a great find for $1! I'd paint it red or white :)
