I spent a lot of time playing in the dirt over the weekend. I had fun potting some pretty blooms and creating some fun containers. I wanted to share them with you. After today I promise we will leave the yard and head inside to see some new treasures.
Please note that the Fella has not noticed the plate in there yet. He's usually on about a two week delay. He has a thing about plates. He doesn't get them. I assure him that many, many other women have them hanging on their walls and such. Makes me laugh so much.
The "Calf-teria" planter is my favorite. I found this in the basement when we moved to the little farm.
I paid .50 for that little red plant stand at a yardsale a few weeks ago. It had a few chips. You will be shocked to know that I had some red spray paint to touch it up.
I picked up the little birdhouse below at a thrift store. I love the copper roof. The flower pot was once a peach color-now red. You see the little "bench" it's on...I found that piece of wood in the barn and created a little plant stand with some upside down clay pots. Fun. It's sitting out on the carporch.
Thank you for indulging me in my planting show and tell. It's a gloomy and rainy sort of day here in Virginia- perfect for all my new blooms.

Great flower pot tour! Loved it. What a great idea for a plant stand. Hmmmm.......I've got just the place. That's the great thing about blogging.

lol... my hubby runs on a two week delay as well. It all looks lovely!
What a green thumb you have! everything looks beautiful!
Love the one with the plate! I've never done that, but now I've got it clicking in my mind. My dear, you should have linked up over at Outdoor Wednesday (A Southern Daydreamer) and let many others enjoy this! They'd love that plate idea!

Hey Kim!
You've been a very busy girl!..Don't you just love playing in the dirt? I love when we can utilize vintage containers and just about anything works now a days. Thanks for stopping by my blog faithful friend :) You lifted my spirits today.....You always do :) Have a great week!
Love that plate in the planter. Hubs thought I had lost my mind when I had him hang vintage Fiesta plates and saucers in my studio for wall art. He then changed his mind after he saw how cool they looked.
My husband is the gardener in our house. I just get to enjoy it!
I love everything you have done..and the creativeness is just darling!
All your pots are sooo pretty!
Love them!
Have a great night!

How simply clever you are. Who would have thought ... I love the plate ... actually everything is really nicely presented. Good job!

I adore the plate; I first saw one in the garden on a blog last fall. I can't bear to use "good" plates, so now I'm scouring thrift stores for cracked and chipped plates!
oh my gosh kim. all your plants look beautiful. i love the way you arranged everything. so inviting!!!
I could never tire of seeing all your gorgeous bounty of beautiful blooms surrounding you. Stay out here all day of you want!!!
Can I get a glass of lemonade?
OMG, I hadn't seen a calf bucket in years. We used to love feeding new calves that my grampa bought at the Sale Barn with these false udders...lol.
And how clever, plant flowers in one....great idea and so cute.

You have been busy with your gardening. I love this time of year too. You have some wonderful containers, and I like the new birdhouse your found. I want to remember your idea of making a shelf with pots as the base. I like!
