The little barn...

The weather here has been amazing. Amazing. We are truly having a Spring. Sometimes in Virginia we go straight from Winter to the humid Summer but not this year. Last night I watered the garden and then explored the little barn that sits close by. And by explored- I mean I walked around the outside with my camera. Two words- spiders, snakes. I did peak my head in and I spied an old feed box that is probably coming out of there this weekend to become a planter. I know, exciting!

Did you notice the honeysuckle up above? Please tell me you have this wherever you are. If you do you know that is smells heavenly. I will share more of it soon. We have it everywhere and it makes me so happy. I even found some of the pink variety last night.

yes, we have honeysuckle here...nature's best perfume. it takes me back to my childhood--pulling the "sugar" out of the tube to eat! so much fun. i love how it just shows up where it wants.
have a wonderful day.

PINK honeysuckle!? We have a lot of it here... but no pink. How fantastic that there IS such a thing. This makes my day. :)

Honey, whenever I spy an old wooden box I'm sure my heart skips at least a beat or two. Been in love with them all my life for some reason. Honeysuckle I need to plant. Husband loves the stuff. Maybe it would get him away from the tv long enough to come smell the fragrance.

Love old buildings that capture the light of days gone past.

I sure wish I had some honeysuckle here at my house.. It does smell happy, doesn't it.

We are having a glorious spring time, too. All that rain actually did us some good!!!

We have honeysuckle and it is blooming every where this year. As I drive down the road, I can smell it just by having the windows open. What a treat.

Okay, you almost lost SSG at spiders and snakes, but then you brought me back with barns, honeysuckle and spring weather! I'm on my way : )

We aren't lucky enough to have honeysuckle, darn it.

I do love your shed. I just love old sheds. I can't help but think of who and what occupied them years ago.
Have a good day.

Just lovely.

I don't blame you one bit on that wooden trough - I'd be recycling it too!

Go in the barn...knowing you, you will probably find a quilt or something.

There is nothing better in the world than a late Spring Evening sucking on some honeysuckle.

Hey, the star on that barn makes me think it's in Texas (I know you aren't)!
Yes, we have honeysuckle here, and it IS a wonderful scent. The fence installer told me how bad it was for a fence; I told him how GOOD it was for me, and that would just be more business for him, I'd just keep the honeysuckle and have the fence replaced more often!
