When I think of you...

When I think of you,
I think of a flower.
Sitting there for everyone to admire.
The sun is warm, the breeze is gentle.
Even the bees are kind.
But in my mind, I pick that flower,
So it will never be left behind.

I wrote that poem for my beloved 5th grade teacher when I was a young teenager. I never forget the words and I definitely never forget her. This picture made me recite the poem instantly. Do you have someone like that- someone beautiful in your life that you carry with you everyday?

Good heavens, that was a sweet poem for your 5th grade teacher. AND...you wrote it as a teenager. I have teenaters, 3 of them...enough said. I'm impressed. I hope that's a flower in your yard. We have snow today.

I have so many people that have impacted my life, I wouldn't know where to start. Have a great day.

Oh Bella, that's beautiful! I love poetry. I do have someone I carry with me always, my grandma. She was an amazing woman and I cherish her always.
Thank you for sharing your poem.
