He keeps me in stitches...

Saturday out with the Fella was quite a treat. Not only did we find the vintage necklace in a local antique shop, but this little treasure was waiting for me in Barnes & Noble....on the clearance rack for $5. It just makes me happy (just like my Fella).

She stitches, you ask. Well, I like to think I do and now I have no excuse! I am always looking at this sort of thing online and can't wait to dive in. I will challenge myself to complete one of the projects on these beautiful pages- perhaps a small one to start. I promise not to cheat and just frame some of those pictures!

Tell me, how often do you buy crafty sort of books and never ever complete a single craft inside? Come on, it's time to confess.

Ooh. That question hit a little close to home.

But since you are interested in embroidery, check out Sublime Stitching. You might like it too.

I rarely buy craft books, but I have made plenty of plans without actually following through with them.

Ummmm ... SSG isn't crafty. BUT she does buy an awful lot of decorating magazines and well ... her house is still WHITE.

Hmmm, although it didnt come out of a craft book, I do have a half painted picture frame still waiting for me on the kitchen table...

Okay Bella, I confess, I've got some books on embroidery and some on knitting. I don't do either, but I love to look at what "could" be created "if only". One day. Learning how to knit and embroider are actually things on my bucket list.
I hope you have a fab day!

Unfortunately, many times! Don't you just love those clearance buys at the book store? You can't have too many books, even if you don't ever make whatever is inside!

I almost picked up that book last weekend!

Lovely site and I'm looking forward to coming back (I came over from Predo's site).

You have a beautiful blog. This was my first visit. I will be back.. And yes, I have bought and thought craft books and never completed them. I used to be a big cross-stitch person, maybe these pic's will inspire me.

Hey Bella
I found the flooring at Home Depot and it's really pretty reasonable cost wise. There is 24 sq ft per box. I have an old galley style kitchen so it won't cost us but a couple hundred to do the kitchen and service/laundry room :0). Here's the link to you can check it out. Our floors are very uneven too. In fact my whole house isn't level anymore (lol, all the quakes knock it about) so this is perfect for us. I will keep you posted on how it goes.
