When it finally snows...

It really, really snows.

It started yesterday around noon and hasn't finished yet. I'd say we have about 7-8 inches with drifts around a foot. But don't hold me to that, my measuring skills are lacking.

I bundled up early this morning to document this weather event. Trust me, anytime it snows in Virginia, it is an event. This one is actually bonafide and everything is shut down. The county I live in apparently hasn't even heard of that snow removal device called a plow. But that's okay, I am going to stay right here perfectly, happily snowed in.

I think the picture above is my favorite. It looks like an old black and white. I wish I were that savvy with the camera- I was just lucky enough to wake up in a black and very white world this morning. It feels like time has stopped.

I am so jealous...I told you I was going to come out there and spend the rest of the weekend with you and I didn't...

It is so beautiful and that is what I was hoping for, wanting, longing, dreaming of...

Mother Nature got it right...just not far enough east.

Enjoy your LONG weekend!!

It snowed here in Charlotte, too! Not that much though. I love looking at your snowy pictures. The general store looks so cozy!

While I can appreciate the snow's beauty from 'afar', I'm so glad I don't have to contend with it. I'm a warmblood and do not do well in cold temps, lol! Enjoy your snow day!

These pictures are magical. Poured over each and every one. Our snow here was rather lame compared to this.
