Homesick...

I'm home sick and homesick.

What's the difference?

Well, I've caught the ickiness that is going around and I am at home today. But if I am at home, how can I be homesick, you ask.

Every year this time I get the itch to take down the Christmas decorations and get my home back to normal. It's strange to feel that way. I am homesick for my home. Weird. I mean, I am the girl that can hardly make it through Thanksgiving because I look forward to getting those boxes out and putting everything up. I live for it. I can't get enough of it.

I think I might know what it is. I literally change things in my home like every two weeks. Okay, okay, it might be more like every week. The Christmas decorations stay up for a month. This girl is itching for a change. This girl has Target giftcards to burn on stuff like new curtains and towels. This girl is looking for a new comfy chair to take the place of her fabulous plump tree.

But luckily this girl feels too icky to make any changes. I will leave this post and plop my plump post-Christmas self on the couch and wait until after the New Year.

And because you cannot post without a picture...Here is the adorable BellaFella and me in front of the tree...that I will be missing as soon as it is gone. Remind me of this post next week when I am pining for it- no pun intended!

I hope everyone had an amazing Christmas!

Awww, you guys are adorable! I'm so sorry you're feeling sick! If you're following the SSG plan, then snow will be on its way once you start feeling better : ) I know what you mean about being over Christmas and itching to rearrange your home. I think you soak it up all month long and then need a chance to dry out with a fresh canvas. After a couple of weeks of HGTV, I have a TON of ideas for Chez SSG : )

Since I am into the whole 12th Night thing, everything will stay out one more week...I will hopefully be feeling better by then.

The ickness has moved from my head to my chest and I am trying to ward off bronchitis or the more icky pneumonia.

I will hopefully be able to get out of the house some time later this week to send out you and Mom's package..it will be in the same box. i will let you know.

Feel better baby girl.

Love ya,

Marlene

Look at you and the Fella all snuggled up in front of the tree!!! How cute is that??

I'm not ready for my tree to come down. It's only been decorated for a week!!! Once it's packed away, I will begin looking for summery things. Those are my absolute favorite!!

Hope you will be feeling better soon!! Try some of Marlene's home cures - I'm sure they will do the trick:)

Cute picture! Sorry you are feeling under the weather...my hubby and daughters all have a cold. Can't imagine why...maybe the weather?! I'm spending all week trying to get the house under control so that we can actually put our millions of gifts away and THEN I can start thinking about taking down the decorations! Feel better so we can meet up with BHE and go to dinner!
