Getting all sappy...

After a delicious Italian dinner with my in-laws last night, BellaFella and I headed into town to find the perfect tree. It goes without saying that it was not at the first lot we stopped at. But don't worry, it was at the second. After a couple of laps around we settled on this little butterball of a tree...

I swear, it is even beautiful without the decorations. I am in love with it. And the smell, oh the smell. I wish I could share that with you all. Oh, and check out all the nutcrackers. I will post about them soon. Those are just part of my collection.

Here is BellaFella with the tree. I swear he is excited too but there was football on last night. And before you say anything about men and their sports...don't...I love it too.

So, I let the tree relax last night and have a few drinks and I think by this evening she will be all ready to get dressed in her Christmas finest. Of course there will be AFTER pictures here soon.

Well, I am off today...off to the doctor with hubby and off to run errands after that. Have a great weekend everyone. Love to you all!

Why is it that wives insist on doing things to intentionally get in the way of the tv while we are watching football?

Just kidding.

Nice tree. We gave up on the real ones some years back ... opted for the prelit fake tree. We make up for the fragrance by burning a nice holiday candle.

What a gorgeous tree. I love the shape and all of its character. Have fun decorating! Let me know when you get your package so that I know it arrives safe. Our postal people around here are not very reliable and it has taken up to two weeks for something to reach people when I have sent it. Not sure what that is about but anyway...have a great day!

Butterball tree - what a great description. I love it's rotundness. Is that a word? I don't care if it is or not. Thankfully you got one that doesn't eat up the room with it's circumference.

I can't wait to see it all decorated!!! Oh, and did I say, your house is fantastic!!! You should do a mini tour video when all the decorations are up! Maybe you could even interview a few of the Nutcrackers!!

I am waiting patiently for the "after" pix!!!! Thanks!

That is the perfect tree! We have an artificial tree right now but I think that is going to change next year. I grew up with a real tree (my husband didn't) so I'm really missing it and the smell... We put up 2 trees, both artificial, but I think next year we'll have to get a real one. Looking forward to seeing the decor!
