Frozen...

Well, we have come back over the river and through the woods. Actually, down 95 and through a lot of traffic. We were up in Northern Virginia yesterday. For those of you not from this area let me tell you a little about DC area traffic...there is ALWAYS DC area traffic. No matter what time of day, year, month, menstrual cycle...ALWAYS traffic.

It wasn't really that bad, you always prepare yourself for it. However, I wasn't prepared for the freezing temperatures...IN THE CAR! BellaFella and I had a bit of an issue with temperature control yesterday. The problem- he was controlling the temperature. Therefore, this is me...

I will leave you to fill in your own descriptions here. I can think of a few. Don't you just love the way BellaFella's hat looks with my scarf? And don't even get me started on those brows! Or the fact that I finally found my dang gloves when we arrived home and they fell out of my lap into the yard! The darn .99 magic stretch ones- I think the magic is that they can disappear!

In the post nose bleed world we opt for cooler temperatures. This leaves me sitting on my hands. Wearing anything I can find in the car. And cold. This time of year I like my car akin to a sweat lodge. Not happening.

Speaking of not prepared and frozen...you know when you have that gnawing little feeling that you are supposed to be doing something and you can't for the life of you figure out what it is? Yes. Well, I am supposed to be cooking a turkey to take to my cousin's house tomorrow. Oops.

Where is that turkey? Still in the frozen section of my local grocery store. What day is it? Christmas Eve.

Now I am sweating.

You look like Nanuk of the North and ready for SNOW! I still want some too.

I am glad that ya'll had a good journey home even if it was cold.

Today we will be ripping all the hats and scarves off only to put them back on tomorrow...what a wonderful weather roller coaster we are one...the VA is in the south and the north wants it back then the south wants it back and so on...

LOL about the turkey...you can put a frozen turkey in a cooler with cold water and it will thaw by tonight unless it is some freak of nature 30 pound bird...if you need me, I am here.

Love you,

marlene

Ah, I hope BellaFella understands your sacrifice! Oh, and that the turkey gets warmed up quickly! Maybe you should just get a couple smaller ones and have different cooking methods? What ever the case, it will all turn out, and you will have a FABULOUS Holiday!!

Oh no! You look FREEZING ... or like a sexy middle eastern woman that her husband won't let any other man see! Have a Merry Christmas, I'm sure the turkey will turn out wonderfully! The ice will just make it moist!

I agree with you...you all are my family...the non-dysfunctional kind. LOL

I love you so much! Did you get the turkey in the oven? I am still baking and gonna drink some egg nog spiked with the recipe later! :)

Merry Christmas my dear!!! Hope you and the Fella have the best one ever.

I hoped you picked up a bottle of wine when you went out to get that turkey....it will make the night go by more quickly:) Not that I have ever done that before...
