Lunch date...

Yesterday I had a lunch date...with my favorite thrift store. I just couldn't resist and I had to get away from my desk for a little while. In an hour I can get there and back and still have time to do my required 20 laps around the store. I think I have an abnormal fear of missing something! Here are my thrifting treasures from yesterday and my gingham tablecloth from the Goodwill on Tuesday....

I tried to get a little creative last night with my photos. It was a beautiful evening. I am intrigued by the plate. It is handmade from 1950, as you can see from the back. I can't help but wonder who Pete was. I can't read the other name- what do you think? Do you think Pete appreciated the delicate little plate with pink flowers? And check out the awesome Turkey platter. Isn't that fun? It's metal. I am going to clean it up a bit and find somewhere for it. I told you all I needed some Fall decor. Ask and you shall receive...or find while thrifting at lunch....

Love these thrift finds...The plate looks like the name Mamy, I wanted to say Mary but the more I look I don't think so. Maybe someone else will see something totally than I. What great treasures you found. I am going over to the Salvation Army today and see what I can find.

I want to go thrifting with you! But then we might end up fighting over everything! Love the quilt and gingham. And well everything else!!! The biggest Salvation Army in the nation is opening right by me this Saturday!!!! 50,000 square feet!!! I don't think I will battle the crowd Saturday...it's been adverised on tv and radio. But I cannot wait to see what they have! (I am a little afraid of missing out on some good treasures by not going Saturday! May need to rethink that)

Hope you are having a great day!

Love the quilt...I must come up there soon and go thrifting with you!!! I think the name is Marny, which is very close to my nickname Marnie (short for Marlene). Have a great weekend and I hope you don't get too much rain or any at all, it's probably all for us.

Love that gingham tablecloth! Gingham, ticking and polka dots make me happy : ) As does going to Paris and I'm leaving in less than 24 hours! Cue squeals and giggling! Off to pack!

Very nice finds...and pictures! I agree that it's Mamy on the plate...that's too funny that it was given to a male! I haven't been to our huge Goodwill in over 6weeks, but who's counting?! At least I went to the small one in Tappahannock yesterday!
