1. Post Thursday Blog

Have you ever tried to finish everything on your daily To-Do list? Wait, do you have a hard time just getting started? That is me today. You know the list, the one we all keep in our heads and if you are like me- the one you write down each day. Yep, I'm a list girl. I have lists of my lists.

Each day when I arrive at work I open my pretty little daily journal. I have a stack of empty ones at home because I need a new one about every 3 months. And I keep them all. I am not sure if I or anyone else will ever be interested in the fact that on September 17, 2008 that I did laundy and unloaded the dishwasher. Or that I did a myriad of things at work that might bore you to death. These tasks lay forever in my book with big black lines through them. Well, some of them. Some remain forever on the page undone. I get so much satisfaction out of these lines- on par with icecream and chocolate.

Confession- sometimes I will scurry to my book, quickly write down something I just completed but forgot to put on the list- just so I can draw that FINAL black line.

Oh, I forgot to mention the stickers. I am 31 years old and I decorate my daily planner with stickers. Yes, I admit it. Stickers. As far as I am concerned no one is ever too old for stickers. Come on, all you scrapbookers out there...I know you get it.

So, while my colleagues and contemporaries run around out there feverishly clicking on their nifty little Blackberry or whatever, obsessing over their Outlook calendar- I am picking out stickers for my old fashioned notebook, my handmade calendar. Please tell me that someone out there does this too.

Well, now I can cross one thing off of my list today- posting my Thursday blog.

I have lists...little teeny, tiny writing on my "day at a glance" book...so, funny...I think doing this makes me feel less disorganized. I love stickers too...I was a paper doll girl and am a HUGE sucker for all the great stickers out there. Must put it on my list that Kim loves stickers!!!

Another list-maker here:) I keep a mini legal pad and highlighters with me at all times. I prefer highlighted lines to black lines. They give me such a rush!!

Stickers. They are right up there with glitter...

Cute post! I have lots of lists too. I usually don't keep track of the day to day though. You are never ever too old for stickers :)

Have a great night on the farm!
Hugs!

I love you! YES, I still handwrite everything and get a ton of satisfaction of crossing things off my list. I also love making the list and planning ahead for things. But STICKERS? Can we say GENIUS?!?! I am leaving to go buy some right now. Maybe when you guys come visit we can trade stickers? I'll get my book all ready!

I don't make lists like I did when I was working outside my home. And yes, I did add tasks to my list that I completed but forgot to put on the list. I, too, loved to cross things off.

And now you have given me a new idea on how to create lists. I may have to get me some blank journals and fun stickers. The thought of it just makes me smile! You're right ~ no one is ever too old for stickers!

Blessings,

You and I are cut from the same cloth. I love lists...and I am also guilty of writing something just completed and then immediately crossing it off. That immediate sense of accomplishment!
Also guilty of sticker prettiness in my calendar I carry with me!

I do that too! I write stuff on my list after I've done it just so I can cross it off! And I have yet to make the switch to a Blackberry or PDA. I like paper and lists too much for that!

And it is effective?

I too am a big journal/planner person! One of my new year rituals is going to pick out my new planner and a cute journal to go with. I also love stickers! Thanks to the scrap booking craze there are so many cool stickers to play with!
