Friday love...

Oh I just adore Friday. I love it. I live for it. Can't get enought of it. This Friday has been especially nice. First it started with a wonderful vanilla iced coffee from McDonalds- my usual Friday treat and sometimes Mondays...and sometimes when I am out on the weekend- well, you get the point.

Hyped up on caffeine (along with SSG) and on the mere fact that the weekend had arrived yet again, I went into work for the morning. I am happy to report that I met my deadline- we have a new website. I can relax a little now. So, I left work after lunch (yes, early) and did my usual Friday afternoon errands. This is code for thrift stores and picking up a few groceries. Here is what I bought today.

Please someone tell me what this green thing is. It's metal, it's old, it's green. It is definitely kin to those metal stands that hold my old mugs. What is this one for- utensils? My favorites today are the two bowls. The peachy/pink one is so unusual. I've never seen one like it. Oh, love the flower hook too. I can't tell if that is old or from somewhere like Anthropologie. Either way- fine by me. Oh, by the way, that wooden tray/box with the handle is handmade, stamped and cost $1.49!

So, now I am watching the opening ceremonies of the Olympics. It's amazing. I hope all of you are watching. Of course there is no way I will make it all the way until midnight, so I will miss some of it. This girl turns into a pumpkin around 10:30pm!

Goodnight and sweet dreams! 'Til tomorrow...

I love all of your finds! Those bowls have to be my favorite too! Adore the pink one!! WOW!! I am sorry to say I do not know what the green thing is- maybe for utensils. I would find little skinny bud vases and put in the holes and use it for a bud vase of sorts! How fun! Maybe it is more fun that you don't know what it is! Then your creativity and imagination could be endless!!
Have a great weekend!!

Great finds! I love the bowls and the tray too. I wonder if that little green thing was for spoons or maybe spices of some kind? Hmm, maybe not. It looks like they'd have to be pretty narrow bottles. I wonder what it is...
I'm glad you found me and now I, you. I feel rather welcome here and have to say after reading some or your past posts, I like you. Is that really your little country house? I'm in love with it and um, I've no doubt Grandma visits. I get visits too and have lived in a home that was haunted. Yes. I'm also very sane.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Kim,
Sounds like you had a fun thrifting/estate sale day too. I love just having the day to poke from sale to sale and find fun stuff. No clue what that green thing is altho it looks to be a close cousin to the mug holders of that era. Have a great weekend. I am off to pick up my son after 13 days at camp...I see laundry in my future.

So jealous you left early! That's one of my favorite feelings--Fridays, leaving early, coffee running through my system and out on a drive to see what I can find. The BEST thing ever! (Love that wooden tray with the handle--you might need the title Serendipitous Girl ; )

PS: Sorry, don't know what the green thing is. It looks like something I should be able to recognize or remember...But I just don't know.
